What to expect:

Day 1: A Comprehensive Examination

At your Initial Evaluation, you will receive a comprehensive exam to determine if chiropractic care is appropriate for you. This is an in-depth, advanced assessment of your nervous system to determine how well your brain is communicating with your body. Any interference to this communication may be measured by the following tests: Spinal Mobility/Function, Range of Motion, Postural Assessment, Muscle Testing, Advanced Nerve Testing, Bilateral Weight Scales and Balance tests. X-rays are usually required, and we will prescribe them accordingly (OHIP covers this cost) in order to visualize the location of spinal damage or problems.

Day 2 –  A Comprehensive Report

At the end of your Initial Evaluation you will be advised when you can return for your Doctor’s Report, which will inform you as to your examination results and Dr Gelber’s recommendations for chiropractic care or other modalities/suggestions if applicable.

At the end of this 2nd visit/Report, your care can start immediately (spinal adjustments, home exercises and spinal traction etc..), and will be confirmed when you and Dr. Gelber have come to a mutually agreed upon plan of care/action.  You will also be advised concerning financial arrangements and insurance coverage as appropriate.
