    5. Cut down on salt to no more than 6grams a day (avg is 9grams of SALT – this is 3600mgrams of Sodium). Too much can increase blood pressure, increasing your risk of getting cardiovascular disease.

    6. Go out for some sunshine. The sun’s rays on the skin help your body produce vitamin D, helps to fight heart disease, depression, osteoporosis and even some types of cancer.

    7. Eat extra portions of fruit, and vary them.

    8. Don’t smoke. Exercise regularly, drink lots of water, eat lots of fruit and veggies.

    9. Walk 10,000 steps a day to control your weight. Use a pedometer to make sure your goal is reached.

    10. Laughing is associated with positive energy and give your feel-good hormones (endorphins) a boost.
