Did you know that food allergies, digestive issues, and other inflammatory conditions can prevent you from burning fat and achieving the kind of health you want?
Do you ever experience any of the following?
*Difficulty falling asleep or sleep poorly
*Hard time concentrating at points during the day
*Achy joints
*Sluggish energy
*Seems hard to lose weight
All could be symptoms of persistent inflammation. And they are signs your immune system is reacting to a stressor. Or it could be caused by a cocktail of emotional stress, medications, environmental pollutants, inadequate sleep or nutrition, and dehydration.
One book I highly recommend is The Inflammation Cure by William Joel Meggs. In it, he shows how scientists are coming to believe that inflammation is the root cause of both aging and most major diseases.
The book also lays out your anti-inflammatory game-plan.
For starters, here are a few anti-inflammatory food swaps:
Meat -> Fish and legumes. There’s a sway toward more plant-based protein options these days. Go with it. Chili it up, vegetarian style. Try beans and lentils.
Salt -> Spices. Spices are widely acknowledged for their anti-inflammatory properties. Turmeric and cayenne are two of my favorites. I like it kinda hot, so adjust to your preferences.
Yogurt -> Walnuts and berries. Less dairy is a good rule of thumb when laying the smackdown on inflammation. Nuts are highly-rated…with plenty of protein, fiber and healthy fats. Berries are low-glycemic and rich in antioxidants.
White rice -> Sweet potato. Not only are sweet potatoes filled with orangey goodness, but they’re potent in fighting inflammation, and they get my vote for the #1 pre-workout food.
Beyond some nutrition advice, in my practice I use a 1-2 punch against inflammation that doesn’t require you to change your diet in order to see pain-relieving, health-enhancing results (although I do still recommend you eat well).
It’s (1) regular adjustments,
And (2) VoxxLife socks and insoles.
Regular adjustments reduce inflammation by calming a hyperactive sympathetic nervous system and allowing your parasympathetic nervous system to kick in, slow things down, and heal your body.
As I have mentioned previously, VoxxLife products use a proven technology that stimulates nerves in your feet. This helps the parts of your brain that control movement to function at their peak, giving you relief from pain and inflammation – and noticeably more energy.
My patients who wear them, swear by them…as do I.
The testimonials for these products are nothing short of amazing:

Alright, I’d better go check on Hayden. Little guy should be waking up from his nap anytime now.
Until next time, remember: reducing inflammation is a big key to health and one that is seldom talked about. More on that to come.
Sincerely in Health,
Dr. Josh
